Supply Chain Manager - Manufacturing - Lancashire
Client Details
My client is a highly successful SME operating across several sites within the UK. After a record 2020, they continue to grow introducing more products to market and building export sales. They have maintained a manufacturing presence in the UK which has given them versatility and enabled a short lead time to customers.
Description
As the Supply Chain Manager you will:
Review current business activity across the sites and gain an understanding how the organisation currently operates. This will include mapping out all Supply Chain activity, enabling process improvement and appraising the team
Once the organisational strategy and key objectives are understood, develop the Supply Chain that can respond
Review and develop systems within the business, building MRP capability
Support the team (based in Lancashire), mentoring and developing where possible
De-risk the Supply Chain introducing transparent supplier performance tools, introducing secondary sources where necessary.
Enable cost down on components and assemblies through leveraging increasing volumes and VA/VE projects
Optimise inventory to support short lead time to customers, and reduce obsolescence in the fast paced products marketProfile
The ideal candidate will be:
Operating as a Supply Chain Manager or Purchasing Manager in a fast paced manufacturing environment, ideally from an electronics or electro/mechanical industry
Proven team manager that can demonstrate how gain both performance and engagement
Strong negotiator with international sourcing experience, preferable within electronics
Proven at either optimising or implementing an MRP system
Be CIPS qualified (or working towards)
As the Supply Chain Manager you will sit on the site leadership team, previous exposure would be valuableJob Offer
