We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing manager with previous experience in FMCG marketing or category management, analysing data, trends and consumer insights to provide compelling marketing to support the UK team in achieving the continued progress of the company. You will be working closely with the Marketing Network at a global and regional level, as well as supporting the category teams based at our Head Office in France.
You will need to be organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. This is a full time role reporting to the UK Marketing Manager, based at home and our Derby office, with travel to UK customers and our Head Office in the south of France.
Marketing support for beverage, dairy, confectionery and bakery categories and customers in the UK, plus sports nutrition category and customers in the EMEA region, to include:-
Understanding the market through analysis of sales, trends, consumer insight, products and competitors, providing recommendations and identifying opportunities to feed into current and future plans
Understanding customers' strategies, brand plans and initiatives
Working with sales and development teams to develop concepts
Producing and delivering effective presentations to customers
Building proactive promotional customer communications using a variety of tools
Developing strong relationships with customers
Liaising with HO category teams to assist with required information, and understand the roadmaps and key projects and how they can form part of the UK sweet marketing plans
Communicate marketing programmes to internal sales and development teams
Research UK and international food and drink trends, as well as new product launches to identify consumer preferences and trends
Purchase relevant new products to share with the UK and category teams to understand the dynamics of the product and brand, as well as purchasing products requested by global marketing teams.
Attend and share knowledge at marketing meetings and other relevant project meetings; this will involve travel outside the UK.
Provide relevant information on various food and drink categories
Any other marketing activities deemed necessary to meet the strategic aims of the company
Previous experience as a marketing manager or similar marketing role
Excellent level of English, both spoken and written
Computer literate, with excellent PowerPoint skills and ability to use research databases
Keen interest in food and drink, you'll be expected to participate in tastings
Great communication skills, confident presenting to internal and external customers
Ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects
Creative, with a good eye for detail
Good team player, ability to work effectively with local and global teams
Dynamic and self-motivated
Travel to UK customers and our Head Office (France) which will include staying away and unsociable hours
Clean driving licence, you will be required to drive locally, as well as longer distances to visit customers
Competitive salary depending on experience - £30k -£40K
This is a full time permanent role
Monday - Thursday: 8:45 - 4:45 Friday 8:45 - 3:00
15% NC pension
