Mechanical Design Engineer

An electronics business who specialise in the design and development of wearable devices for leading sport teams require a Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks experience to work on a brand new product development. This project has very fast timescales due to Olympics later on in 2021.

This will be a high-volume manufactured product which encloses pcb electronics. As such you should have experience designing small scale products which encloses electronics/PCBs. Experience working alongside Electronic Engineers would be desirable, as designs must take into consideration the performance of wireless communications (e.g. Bluetooth connectivity).

Experience with plastic injection mouldings and material selection choice is also needed for this requirement, as the product must remain in good and working condition in a variety of scenarios.

The contract is initially 6 months, but it is likely to be extended further.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experience with Solidworks
High volume manufactured product experience (ideally for a Wearable device)
Electronic enclosure design
Plastic Injection Moulding experience
