Senior Ventillation Design Engineer
Our client is looking to replace and existing Senior and experienced HVAC Engineer with nuclear experience at the end of Feb / March 2021. This is due to retirement.
This is an ongoing potentially long term contract based officially in Risley , Warrington but due to the current situation will inevitably start at home .
Must have or be able to obtain SC level security clearance.
The role is likely to cover a number of small / medium sized projects across the various sites at Sellafield. They are likely to be brownfield ie. Modifications and updates to existing systems. Therefore previous nuclear experience is essential
Rate market . Given the changes due to occur in April this role will inevitably fall inside IR35 and therefore become "paye"'
A Senior Design Engineer with experience in ventilation design engineering, the majority of this being within the nuclear industry. The client is looking for a wide variety of ventilation experience from initial concept design, through detail design to construction, incorporating safety case support and engineering justification documentation. Considerable experience with site related activities of commissioning, Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs), Design Assessment Reports would be an advantage.

A Project example.
Working at Risley on modifications to an existing legacy plant where for example new containment walls are to be constructed and the existing ventilation system needs to be modified to support the plants new containment. The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for developing a Pipenet Model to validate the ventilation changes and produce the associated technical specifications, calculations, Safety Method Statements and Risk Assessments
