The team:

You will be joining a professional and enthusiastic finance team, who strive to provide best in class services within the organisation. Our shared service centre covers all financial activities for most of our European sites as well as USA and Egypt.

Purpose of the Job:

To accurately prepare and manage the financial accounting and local compliance including statutory accounting, audit and group submission of the actuals, budget and forecast for two entities. You will be supporting the business with day to day activities as well as supporting key finance projects.

Main Accountabilities

* Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and other required reports within Company guidelines;

* Complete first line PL reviews prior to submission;

* Prepare or review Balance Sheet reconciliations prior to submission into Blackline;

* Reconcile all intercompany accounts with no aged balances and all differences fully investigated and documented;

* Prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities assigned;

* Ensure appropriate fixed asset accounting is completed, including depreciation, capitalisation of assets in construction and timely opening/closing of projects;

* Support the VAT and Tax functions, teaming to ensure tax compliance is achieved;

* Support the forecast and budget process as requested;

* Ensure all Accounting operations are documented by audit-verifiable support;

* Assist with projects assigned to the Accounting Department;

* Complete month-end close responsibilities;

* Identify and/or facilitate process improvement projects that create efficiencies, add value, and/or reduce costs within the Accounting;

* Assist with all internal and external audit requests;

* Ensure compliance with all Accounting Departmental rules, policies, and procedures;

* Contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and internal controls;

Desirable requirement: Additional European Language would be advantageous

Essential requirements:

* ACA/ACCA/CIMA - part of fully qualified

* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Financial Accountant

* Experience of working within a large global environment

* Advanced in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel
