We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to work out of our Head Office in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will support the finance team to ensure compliance with external statutory financial reporting requirements as well providing financial information to management throughout the business. This role will be working on a temporary basis initially with an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing day to day

Assisting in the preparation of the annual report and year end accounts
Appraising financial controls / processes and liaising with the internal audit function
Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts and general ledger reconciliations
Preparing monthly reporting pack and Group consolidation
Ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is provided to support our commercial and operational staff across the business
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller to produce budgets and forecasts
Carrying out financial analysis, reviewing complex data and providing detailed and meaningful reports for non-finance and finance audiences
Maintaining and developing treasury and cash management processes
Promoting good financial management, accountability, efficiency and value for money
Preparing/reviewing accruals, prepayments, salary reconciliations and audit schedules
Undertaking other tasks as requested by the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Controller to assist in the smooth running of the department The experience we're looking for in a candidate

Technically astute, with a solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and able to demonstrate excellent core accounting skills
Experience of financial audits preferred, either as an auditor in practice or supporting audits in an industry role from the client side
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
