Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Senior Health Care Assistants for our Nursing Home client within the Peterborough area. Our client has a variety of Care Homes throughout the UK and are currently recruiting in one their Peterborough care home's. The successful candidate will be patient and caring and able to provide a quality service to residents within a Nursing home environment whilst enabling them to lead an active and independent life. A successful Senior will be responsible for managing their team of care assistants and will report directly to the Deputy Manager and Manager of the care home.

Job Role
Our successful candidates will:-
· Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality care to residents
· Assist the Management in the day to day running of the home whilst providing the highest possible standards of care to all clients ensuring compliance with Company Policy and Procedures
· Supervise and support care assistants in their role
· Assist the staff in maintaining records and care plans on each shift
· Undertake practical supervision of care staff to maintain standards
· Attend staff and residents' meetings and take minutes when required
· Contribute to the induction of new employees as required and monitor their standards and performance
· Work as a part of a team, communicating positively and showing respect for colleagues and residents at all times
Education, Skills and qualifications
Our successful candidate will:-
· Either currently hold NVQ level 2/3 or working towards the qualification
· Have previous experience within a care home environment
· Be highly motivated
· Be a good team player
· Can work well with others
· Be compassionate and understanding
· Be trustworthy, sociable, and able to work under pressure
