Dunbar Education is recruiting for a leading secondary school based in Kettering. The school is looking to hire a successful Drama teacher to join them in September 2021 on a permanent basis.
As the school's Drama Teacher, you will be responsible to teach key stage 3 and 4 students, helping them build self-confidence and a newly formed respect for the subject. You must be strategic in planning and preparing fun but focused lessons according to year groups and the ability of pupils in line with the national curriculum.
The ideal Drama Teacher will have a relevant degree and recent experience working within a secondary school environment. You will be enthusiastic to share knowledge in the subject and will encourage students to utilise their talents and share them with the rest of the school. You will be a confident teacher, dedicated to raising attainment through extra curriculum activities.
It is important as the school's Drama Teacher to inspire young adults to pursue a career or hobby within performing arts/theatre. Experience also teaching English or a passion for English Literature is highly desirable but not essential.
