CNC Miller/Programmer

Working on behalf of a well-established high precision engineering client based on the outskirts of Ely, we are seeking a fully Skilled CNC Miller with CAD/CAM experience. You must be able to confidently set, run and programme the CNC milling horizontal machines using Fanuc controls. You will also have a good understanding of 3, 4 & 5 axis machines and would have worked with a variety of materials including Stainless steel, Aluminum, Brass, Mild steel and plastics.

Start: ASAP
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £Negotiable dependent on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week flexible if hours are worked over a 4 /5 day week with overtime available

Duties:

• Setting, Operating and Programming CNC Milling machines
• Verify dimensions of processed products for accuracy and conformance to specifications and maintain quality control standards
• Understand and work from Engineering drawings
• Machining a wide range of materials
• Running work through and checking using a metrology cmm automated checking machine
• Checking that work meets quality and technical guidelines
• Maintain safe and efficient operations
• Adhere to posted cleanliness and maintenance schedules

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role as a fully skilled CNC Miller / Programmer
• Able to work to tight tolerances
• Ability to confidently program, set and operate Fanuc controlled machines
• CAD/CAM experience preferred but not essential and training can be provided
• Machining a wide range of materials
• Health & safety awareness
