Our client is a respected and well-known local employer and following an internal promotion they are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their fast-paced team based in Huntingdon.

Working in a manufacturing environment, you will report to the senior manager and your role will be to ensure the smooth running of the finance function looking after a team of two.

The role requires someone with proven experience in manufacturing (ideally food) and a background in a similar role.

Duties will be varied and will include;

Reporting and investigation of production variances including variance analysis to budgets and prior year
Cost centre management and ownership
Month end journal preparation
Balance sheet reconciliations
Yearly budget and rolling forecast preparation
Business partnering with Operations team
Developing and maintaining financial control and reporting of standard costing processes
Analysing costings for NPD projects
Process improvement
Ad hoc project work

As well as relevant experience and background, the ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant and will have excellent IT skills. Whilst an ERP system is used, advanced Excel skills are essential to the success of this role.

In order to uphold the values of this dynamic business, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to challenge and plan whilst developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships is key.
