Working closely with colleagues from a range of disciplines and, engineers from household-name clients, you would design and develop intuitive and flexible solutions for the broadcast industry and other application areas where the control of complex equipment needs to be streamlined and automated.
Your involvement would include the full development lifecycle from initial concept definition through to development, testing, and hand-over to customers. To work effectively with clients, you will need good communication skills and be happy to travel internationally on occasion (once conditions allow).
Necessary skills and experience:
• A good degree in Computer Science or similarly applicable STEM subject
• Strong C and C++ coding skills, and knowledge of Qt Framework,
• Software design and development under Windows and Linux
• Networking technologies including TCP/IP protocol stack
• Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship
Additionally, knowledge of any of the following would be valuable: an understanding of broadcast technology and its associated standards, node.js, web development skills including JavaScript and common frameworks, embedded software development
