The School based in Bognor Regis considered to be a 'Good' School with 'Outstanding' Leadership and personal development and welfare are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to work with students who face a variety of challenges which may hinder their educational progress and those who may demonstrate they have been academically affected by the pandemic.
The school are seeking to appoint an experienced learning support assistant or graduate who can support students academically with a therapeutic approach to ensure the development of the whole child and help them to achieve their maximum potential. You should be resourceful, understanding and have resilience. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be prepared to work in classrooms and on a 1:1 basis. Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills are required to fulfil the post.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work with a range of students with a range of needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Autism and low attaining pupils. You should be able to demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of special educational needs and pedagogical strategies to support them. Whilst full training will be provided, it is fundamental that you have the confidence to support students with such needs.
The role would be well suited to an already experienced learning support assistant or a graduate of a curriculum subject or Psychology who is interested in a career in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
