Our client is a leading Automated food and drinks manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to major investment and development within the organisation, they are looking for a Senior Engineer to join their expanding team as they grow as a business.
Role & Responsibilities:
*Focus on Health, Safety and Sustainability.
*To support the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Engineering Manager and a team of multi-disciplinary engineers in the support of new and ongoing production and site machinery in the most cost-effective manner.
*To continuously challenge, innovate and improve the department performance through the implementation of a Lean operational philosophy.
*To provide systems expertise and ensure the machinery systems are maintained to optimum levels utilising internal resource primarily
*To undertake re programming where machine functions require alteration to optimise all systems functionality throughout the site.
*Diagnose Line Data Systems and Line Management Systems (e.g.LineView) to analyse/increase efficiencies on the line.
*To ensure that processes are managed and developed in a manner which achieve the targeted measures.
*To assist in developing the engineering personnel skill base particularly in relation to machinery systems.
*Assist in leading the manufacturing engineers in progressing the lean philosophy ensuring continuous improvements across all areas of business processes are achieved.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (electrical & mechanical)
* Track record of electrical fault finding & knowledge of PLC's (Allen Bradley control logic)
* Must have exposure of working in a Food/FMCG manufacturing environment
* Project Management Experience
* Supervisory Experience
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices & continuous improvement mentality
* Must have a recognised apprenticeship to ONC/HNC
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
Shifts & Benefits Package:
* Shift:- Monday - Friday 7.00am - 4.00pm (Flexibility required)
* Salary:- £42,000 - £44,000
* Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance
