Senior Procurement Engineer

This home based role seeks someone that has their main experience in purchasing and supply chain, cost savings, manufacturing, engineering and category management (mechanical components mainly for any type of transport, braking systems, air con, steering racks, etc). Ideally you will have CIPS, MCIPS, or other qualifications, but not entirely necessary.

Need to be able to be part of a team, so sleeves rolled up, able to work with spreadsheets, dealing with suppliers, plus the ability to be able to be client facing if needed.

Key points and experience required:

• Procurement - looking at the process and identify cost savings on the smallest component, or on raw materials, etc.
• Have mechanical components experience mainly for any type of transport, braking systems, air con, steering racks, etc
• Supply chain experience
• Cost, planning and supplier management (achieving, ordriving cost savings with suppliers)
• Home based
• We have permanent and contract roles available. This particular role is a contract role, initially 3-12 months but lots of scope to extend and even possible opportunities as a permanent member of staff.
