Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience of working with EYFS pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Philosophy Education are currently working with a fantastic nursery school in Clapham who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in February 2021 on an ongoing basis.

In this role, you will be working 1:1 with a child who has Autistic Spectrum Disorder who will need speech and language support. The child needs a committed and kind Teaching Assistant to support all round development. The school would ideally like a teaching assistant who has experience using PECS and developing speech and language through play and activities.

You will work alongside teaching staff, the SEN team, external support agencies and the family to enable the pupil to make progress. With good transport links the school is easily accessed by public transport.

  • you have experience working with ASD pupils
  • are confident using PECS
  • have a good understanding of Early Years
  • be able to demonstrate a good level of initiative and a hands-on approach
  • you are an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with a good understanding of SEN, particularly Autism
