DevOps Engineer

Guildford/London (Remote)

3 Month Contract

A global cyber security and intelligence firm is searching for an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead join an existing delivery team within a FS Sector Client. The possible scope and impact of the DevOps Engineer role is quite significant in relation to client transformation and defending against cyber-attacks and financial crime.

As DevOps Engineer you will provide a bridge between development, testing, network/infrastructure, operations and system administrators to facilitate efficient, continuous and high quality software delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:
  • Must hold current and valid basic Clearance (BPSS)
  • Experienced in a consulting environment
  • AWS architecture & best practice
  • AWS provisioning & Cloud Formation
  • Working knowledge of RDS, EC2, EBS, EFS, KMS, Security Groups, VPC management, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Inspector, Cognito
  • Working knowledge of AWS commercials WRT PAYG, Sport, RI - supporting cost optimisation
  • Azure architecture & best practice
  • Azure deployment via ARM templates and DevOps
  • Working knowledge of KeyVault, App Gateway, Monitor, Log Analytics, RecoveryVault, Storage Accounts
  • Ansible based deployments, playbook creation
  • Basic CentOS / RHEL 7/8 administration (including SELinux)
  • DevOps / Agile working processes
  • N-Tier J2EE deployments
  • Working knowledge of OS hardening, CIS benchmarks

Duration: 3 Month (Contract)

Day Rate: Up to £600 (Self Assessed)
