Qualified Teaching Assistant role in a secondary school setting
Your new schoolWith secondary schools running interventions and catch up sessions, we are seeing an increase in demand for learning support assistants and TA's in secondary education. You will work in a positive environment where their staff and students feel valued, cared for and challenged to reach their full potential. The schools will collaborate with parents/carers and the community to achieve outstanding levels of education.
Your new role
You will be working with a team of Teaching Assistants in a variety of roles including general TA, behaviour support and 1:1 support. You will work with key students to support them in class and to monitor their progress and behaviour. You will communicate with teachers and parents to generate a well-rounded understanding of the students education and learning journey.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have the confidence, resilience and passion to work with ages 11-16 and be aware of the educational and social challenges students face. You will have a minimum level 3 STLS qualification or a wealth of experience in a similar role. You will have the patience and understanding to form productive student relationships. You must be available to work Mon-Fri 8:30-15:30 to ensure familiarity and consistency.
