If you have a wealth of experience in researching and developing algorithms in video processing and compression, then look no further. This pioneering technology company is seeking a Video Research Engineer with ambition to rival their own to join their exceptional team within the R&D division of the business.
As a Video Research Engineer you'll take ownership of developing compression algorithms and codebases (C++) for new products, contributing to design tools and strategies for optimally processing and compressing images, videos and data.
From designing and running tests for developed algorithms to analysing data and preparing reports, this is a deeply technical, high impact role where your contributions will be valued right from the start. You'll work with a diverse tech stack; predominantly C++ and other specialist tools like AVC, HEVC, VP9 and AV1.
*Please note: this company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as work from home during the current social distancing measures. Following this, you'll join offices in the heart of the city with some continued flexibility to work from home*

Requirements:
- You are educated to degree level, 2.1 or above in BSc Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or Mathematics
- You have experience of researching and developing algorithms in video processing and compression, this could have been gained at university or via commercial experience
- You have C++ coding skills (and ideally other programming languages)
- You're a proactive team player who excels when working collaboratively
- You are keen to learn, share knowledge and develop your technical craft
