Marketing Communications Manager

You will be the ONLY marketing person in a huge business so you MUST be experience but also have a small business mentality and keen to roll your sleeves up even though this is a senior position!
This is a huge from for a Marketing Communications Manager to join a start-up company which is financially backed by a huge company.
You will be the only Marketing person within this business and therefore you must have experience but a small company mentality.
On a daily basis you will be expected to formulate and execute on its marcomms strategy and to apply you MUST have experience in the Satcomms industry in a similar role.
The role will be based in London and will be a Covid Level 2 role - which during the current conditions means occasional attendance in the office. Once restrictions have eased, the role will be based in London a minimum of 4 days per week. Occasional travel may be required.
You will use your experience in the satcom industry to develop online and offline channels and identify and initiate communication with potential customers. As the first dedicated marcomms professional in the organisation, you will be given the freedom to create innovative and impactful material and campaigns and be a key player in the development of this exciting brand.
*Distribute and publish relevant and appropriate company updates via suitable channels.
*Be always up to date on industry news relevant to the company, producing weekly memos to be shared with the management committee
*Select communication channels most suitable to the organisation.
*Produce high quality company presentations and ensure brand continuity.
*Promote industry related topics across various channels.
*Monitor the company's website and other social media and respond to any queries.
*Coordinate the design and implementation of company materials and distribute through online and offline channels.
*Produce press releases, industry blogs and any additional promotional activity.
*Manage social media campaigns and tracking and reporting success and ROI.
*Become the voice of the brand.
*Recommending marcomms strategies to senior management.
*Will be expected to attend road shows and talk about the company's products
*Working closely with other departments (e.g. engineering, HR) to understand the company values, identity, technology and customer proposition.
*Developing the new brand identity for the company ensuring it is strong, relevant and represents the culture and values of the company.
*Producing a cohesive, insightful and impactful marcomms strategy for the short, mid and long term.
Qualifications & Skills:
*Solid track record as a marcomms professional in the satcom industry, you may of worked in a large organisation but also preferably in a start-up or fast growth field.
*Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field (or equivalent experience)
*SEO knowledge, Google Analytics, and understand the satcom sector
*Experience of managing and participating in tradeshows
*Experience of managing the main social media channels and company website
*Experience with the various associated software packages (WordPress, Office, Powerpoint, SAP, etc)
*Excellent English writing skills and an understanding of technology "jargon".
