Principal Highways Engineer - Slough
Our client is a multi-disciplinary design consultancy who work on some of the most challenging development planning and infrastructure and highways projects in the UK.
With their ability to design and create public spaces, roads, streets, parks and plazas for people and communities sets them out as one of the UK's most highly regarded transport engineering consultancies. This an exciting opportunity for anyone to join the team and they are looking for a Principal Highways Engineer to join their Slough office.
Your role will include leading others in the engineering design, technical analysis, research, forecasting, modelling and calculations, and reporting as required to support our clients. You will manage a wide range of projects with autonomy, and be the primary point of contact with clients.

Project programme development and management
Budget Control and reporting.
Adopt best and appropriate practice for the works in hand
Client engagement / supply chain interface
Resource management
Stakeholder engagement
Effective communication
Working across organisational boundaries
Seek to add value on all works
Ensure quality control
Assist in the bidding and securing of new works
Staff development
About you:
Chartered or actively working towards Chartered
Demonstrable experience as Highway Engineer in local authority and/or private sector
Wide range of skills and projects including highways, cycling and public realm
Ability to determine appropriate solution with innovation and value engineering
Knowledge of and engagement with the civil engineering industry
NEC3 Experience
The position comes with:
Competitive Salary £48k to £55k (depending on experience)
27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays!
