NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) provides a range of specialised support services, of which some require digital solutions, that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care. Scotland has some of the best health service data in the world and we work in partnership with NHS Boards, hospitals, GP's and Local Authorities to provide IT systems to support local decision makers and national policy and guidance. We provide systems to support activities aimed at protecting all the people of Scotland from infectious and environmental hazards.
In order to meet the increasing demand from Scottish Government, Public Health Scotland (PHS) & Health Boards in respect of COVID-19, DaS are seeking to recruit a Senior Technician to support the delivery of IT services used by NHS Scotland. An enthusiastic and self-motivated individual is required to help maintain and support various applications. You will have excellent inter-personal skills and will liaise with health professionals in NSS, PHS and NHS boards. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, and a high degree of accuracy. The ability to maintain strict confidentially is also essential. You will be educated to degree level in an IT related subject or have significant experience in a technical support role, using SQL Server. The candidate will join our small established friendly development & support team, who are supportive of each other on a day to day basis. The post is fixed term until end of March 2022and could be based in the office or working at home, so flexibility to adapt to both options is required.
