Job Details

The Senior Network Consultant role is an exciting new senior role within Advanced's Professional Services Team. You will be working as part of a dedicated team of skilled consultants who carry out technical design and deploy engagements which transform and enable our U.K. customer base by implementing cost-effective and best-practice technical solutions.

What you will be doing
  • Designing network solutions in service provider or large enterprise network environments which are secure, conform to best technology and operational practice, using and refining standard approaches where possible
  • Implementing technical solutions, getting it right first time and executing at pace and handing these over successfully to Advanced's operational support teams
  • Acting as a point of technical escalation and as a design authority within the Professional Services Team
  • Providing input in to Pre-Sales bids and proposals

What you will have
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions in service provider or large enterprise network environments with Cisco as the preferred network vendor. Sample technical skill sets include:
    • Routing protocols: Extensive experience of OSPF, BGP and EIGRP
    • Switches : Experience of Cisco multi-layer switches and routers, including 3750s, 4500s, 6500s, 7200s and the Nexus series (2k, 3k, 5k 7k) including experience of VPC and VSS solutions
    • Experience in designing and implementing SD-WAN and SD-LAN solutions
    • Security: Experience implementing Cisco ASAs (physical and virtual), Cisco FWSM, with experience in Cisco ISE, IPS and Firepower experience advantageous
  • Strong consultancy skills and the capacity to be an excellent motivator in order to meet deadlines and handle change
  • Able to own, prioritise and be responsible for own workload
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
