Elevations Engineering & Manufacturing discipline is working with one of the regions fastest growing businesses that services a wide variety of industrial and advanced engineered products in the appointment of a Operations Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-With 5 direct reports and approx. 35 indirect you will be responsible for facilitating and monitoring daily activities with full accountability for hiring performance reviews and management; time / overtime management through to execution
-Effectively communicate to both direct and indirect reports with end results being thoroughly equipped to meet customer needs daily
-Responsible for all aspects of Planning, Production and Delivery across 4 business units including machining
-Ensure all areas have the appropriate resources and priorities outlined to enable full operations to be delivered on time in full and at the quality expected by both the business and its customers
-You will be responsible for the safety performance and quality standards across site, driving forward a culture of 'safety first'
-Develop an effective work environment where respect and dignity is applied across all departments for all employees to promote a positive work environment

The successful candidate must possess the following skills and experience:

-Bachelor's degree in either engineering or technical related discipline or equivalent
-Proven experience of operations or senior manufacturing management in a technical environment
-Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma; Kaizen; Lean Manufacturing; 5S etc.
-Strong organisational and project managements skills and ability to work to deadlines
-Proven experience in highly regulated sectors such as aerospace and defence with knowledge of lab and testing based work
-Experience within machining and metals processing is highly desirable
-Strong communication and computer skills are a must with basic mathematics; algebra and geometry a plus
