Java Developer - Real-time Trading

Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java Maths). City based trading firm is seeking a technologist Java Developer to create and maintain server side Java components which support a highly scalable mission critical real-time financial trading platform. You'll partner closely with Front Office users, with a particular focus on Pricing & Risk systems across multiple asset classes, gaining a good understanding of trade floor operations and priorities.

You will be based in an informal atmosphere in the City with a good work life balance (0900 to 1730 with flexibility), casual dress code, bright, open plan offices and a peaceful work environment.

Driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview process during the current social distancing measures.

Requirements:
*Strong core Java design and development skills
*Thorough understanding of computing fundamentals, object orientated programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems
*Good knowledge of mathematics
*Experience of designing developing large scale systems
*Experience of writing automated tests
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
*Ideally you will some experience with financial / trading systems although this could be any highly transactional system
