About the role

Here at Rooftop Housing Group, we are now looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to assist the team with a variety of finance tasks.

Within the role, you will assist in ensuring that invoices are paid correctly and promptly in accordance with the Financial Regulations. This will include resolving discrepancies and engaging with suppliers on the phone and by email. You will reconcile supplier statements, chase for missing invoices and prepare a monthly report of all development spend of £500. You will also raise sales invoices as directed, monitor payments and chase with relevant departments. In addition to this, there will be daily banking, preparation of journals and covering for absence within the team.

About you

Do you have experience of working in a finance department? Do you have experience of purchase ledger or sales ledger? If so, we'd love to hear from you! IT literate and with strong customer service skills, you will have 5 GCSEs at grade C and above (or equivalent) including Maths and English and the ability to understand complex information from various sources.

An AAT qualification would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of completing reconciliations.
