We are currently working with a globally recognised organisation who are looking to add a Principal Application Support Engineer to their agile squad.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Application Support Developer to take the next step in their career, working with the wider business to influence ways of working (DevOps/Automation/Cloud etc) and to work with wider teams such as architecture.

You will be working in the part of the business that is responsible for handling hundreds of millions of pounds of transactions a year.

This is a fully hands-on position, and you will be responsible for supporting my client through a huge transformation as they move towards Devops, AWS, Microservices etc. You will also get the opportunity to mentor Junior members of the squad.

Your role will involve supporting business critical applications in production and you will get the opportunity to work with the latest technologies including Python, Puppet/Ansible and AWS.

Key Skills:
  • Application Support experience within a enterprise environment
  • Experience with one of the following - Python, Java, JavaScript, C#
  • Database Support (SQL, Oracle)
  • Monitoring / Logging experience - (Splunk, ELK etc.)
  • Ticketing experience - (ServiceNow, ZenDesk etc.)

Desired Skills:
  • Automation (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
  • Cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • API / REST experience

The salary for this role is between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and comes with an excellent package including 20% bonus and £5,000 car allowance
