In this KS2 Teacher post you will be joining one of the school's KS2 classes, either in Year 4, 5, or 6 depending on your experience and desire. This KS2 Teacher and Numeracy Coordinator position involves working closely with the SLT and keeping them informed about the development of your students and Numeracy across the school. Working in such a caring environment the SLT follows a supportive policy where new teachers work closely with a Headteacher to help them adapt to the new school. You will have the responsibility of keeping up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques by following a comprehensive training and professional development program. Increase your responsibilities and take the next step in your career by taking on the additional duties and TLR that come with a Numeracy Coordinator role. You will have the benefit of the school's impressive resources at your disposal - including interactive whiteboards in every classroom, a large well-stocked library and state of the art ICT suite. The school is dedicated to uphold an inclusive philosophy and so expects a particular type of teaching - that of parity and equality in class - from all members of staff.

To be considered for this role you must be a creative KS2 Teacher who has a demonstrable track record of 'Good' or better teaching and an understanding of the value of high expectations. The successful candidate will have a passionate and developed belief in the merits of education as well as the drive to instill this belief in others. You will be a bright individual who can stimulate independent thought in lessons and maintain a positive, happy class. The ideal individual should be able to give insight into all the content on the curriculum with even the most recent changes and be able to use this to challenge these students academically and emotionally. Numeracy Coordination is an important role at this school, and you will need to be passionate about leading it across the whole school and be able to share good practice with colleagues and peers and lead the way in teaching Numeracy across the school.

It is considered a 'Good' school by Ofsted and is determined to see lower ability pupils excel from Reception to Year 6.
