Job Details

The Production Planner will own the material planning process for a particular brand end to end. They will be responsible for the SKU creation process including creation of BOM's and managing relationships with key suppliers and fillers.

Client Details

UK based FMCG cosmetic brand based in Watford, who pride themselves on being ambitious, agile, and approachable in providing innovative marketing solutions, which, have proven to be the foundation for their global success.

They are looking for an eager production planner, who they can grow and develop with their business.


The Production Planner will fully own the production planning and material planning for a brand within the FMCG cosmetic industry.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain Bill of Materials
Analyse NPD & Production Bill of Materials ensure stock is correctly consumed on Production Orders
Manage Production Planning for allocated brands
Work with Project Managers on new launches assisting in transition of new products into production
Ensure Contract Fillers adhere to agreed production plans
Ensure on-time deliveries for components & finished products
Create and maintain Purchase Orders and Production Orders in SAP
Process and approve invoices
Recommend and lead Inventory management projects
Report any potential OOS risks
Perform regular stock checks with Contract Fillers
Root cause stock discrepancies and carry out stock adjustments
Building relationships across various departments & internationally
Liaise with Suppliers, Contract Manufacturers and Internal Departments
Ensure Technical & Quality specifications are adhered toProfile

Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be from a planning background with proven supply chain experience, who is determined to progress their career in the FMCG/cosmetic industry.

Key attributes

A driven, ambitious professional looking to develop their career in Production Planning

Previous experience in Supply Chain and Procurement

Advanced experience with Excel and the ability to manipulate large data sets

Systems driven with good analytical skills, experience working with SAP Business is desired

Excellent time and self-management

Capacity to work under high pressure

Is a team player and works co-cooperatively with others

Ability to learn quickly
Education Requirements

Degree beneficial but not essential
Experience in Supply Chain related industry

Job Offer

Salary up to £30,000
