Full time hours: 40 hours a week/ 5 day

Salary: £21,944.04- £22,505.64 per annum

Qualification: Food Hygiene level 2 or equivalent / Catering Qualification

Job Description

We are looking for a Nursery Chef for our Playhouse Nursery. The successful Chef will be responsible for providing healthy and tasty meals for our children. We are looking for a Chef with a passion for planning and preparing nutritionally well-balanced meals, whilst following the LEYF 'Healthy Eating' and 'Allergy' Policy. Our new Chef will be undertaking general housekeeping duties for the nursery and assist the team in maintaining a safe environment for our children.

Job Requirements

Food Hygiene level 2 or equivalent

Good knowledge of hygiene practices

*
Ability to assess all stages of the food preparation process in accordance with HACCP

*
Knowledge of children's dietary requirements

*
Working effectively as part of a team

*
Work within the budget and keeping neat and accurate records of purchases and money spent

*
Experience of Preparing/cooking food in a childcare setting is highly desirable but not essential
