Our client is currently looking for a Software Tester to join their Information Systems Development team to organise and execute the testing requirements as well as designing and developing the tests required on the in-house bespoke systems and COTS customisations.
Software Tester Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that all software released to the business meets original requirements, matching specified testing against documented requirements and meets compliance standards.
• Proactively look for improvements to the testing progress to reduce time to business through a process of continual improvement.
• Working collaboratively alongside other departments and team members to ensure software delivered is robust and secure as well as diagnosing and reproducing issues.
• Developing and maintaining an automated testing framework for in-house developed systems
Software Tester Requirements:
The suitable applicant will be educated to at least first degree level (ideally 1st or 2:1) in an IT or science related subject. Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role is essential. You will also have experience of designing, documenting and executing test plans based on business and technical requirements.
The successful candidate will be a team player who is highly organised with excellent attention to detail. You will also have an analytical mind and pro-active approach to problem-solving with excellent communication skills.
Due to nature of the work they undertake, all applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the past three years and will be required to gain and retain security clearance which they will arrange.
