Finance & Operations Manager role offering £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be Exclusively partnered with an Edinburgh based Construction business to recruit a Finance & Operations Manager. Our client are an established award winning SME business with a strong culture and brand identity. Our client is looking to make a new appointment for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for the smooth running of the companies financial affairs and operations. This role is offering between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.

This is a unique and collaborative role where you will offer support and guidance across the business working with financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Your new role
The Finance and Operations manager will add value across financial management and provide commercial insight to support decision making. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of a 2 million t/over business across end-end financial management. With various clients across their portfolio project management and WIP at the centre of their operational activities. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and adding value through variance analysis. Additionally, this role will involve dedicated support across cash-management from Accounts Payable and receivable invoicing to supporting with monthly payroll and reconciliation. There will be opportunities to grow this function over time.

This role will take ownership of finance and clear and concise communication skills will be an important quality to present information to non-financial stakeholders. To enable the business to grow, the finance manager will utilise their technical financial knowledge to aid business decisions and will work in partnership across the various business units to continually improve systems, processes and procedures. This is a commercial role with the opportunity to develop and grow alongside a progressive organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit either a qualified accountant or qualified by experienced accountant with "hands on" experience across accounts preparation and management reporting. This role will support the Company Directors and will lead an all financial matters. The role holder should be comfortable in overseeing operations alongside offering process improvements and developing procedures along the way.

What you'll get in return
The salary of the role offered is between £38,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience.
