THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you looking for a Junior Web Developer role? Are you able to hit the ground running with in-house web development projects? Do you want to be involved in helping a company grow through being involved in long-term projects? If you answered yes to all of these questions and carry skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap, this could be the position for you!

This is a chance for you to join a fast-paced e-commerce company at their site based in Gateshead in a permanent role, working on a growing portfolio of e-commerce stores, as part of a collaborative team.

THE DUTIES

Your role as Junior Web Developer will see you working on web development projects including new features, improvements and bug fixes.

Your tasks will include:

Implementing designs based on their prototypes

Collaborating with the design team to make sure prototypes are built to specification

Supporting the in-house team with web development queries and troubleshooting

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

You will receive an annual salary of between £20,000 and £25,000, depending on your level of experience. However, if your expectations are higher on this, there could be additional opportunities for the right skills and experience!

You will work from 9.00am until 5.00pm from Monday - Friday and will benefit from a bonus scheme, private medical insurance, company pension, free on-site parking, international travel opportunities... and more!

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

To be progressed to interview stage, you will need to be able to be skilled in:

PHP

JavaScript

HTML5

CSS

Bootstrap

You will also bring a real passion for web technologies and an eagerness to learn and develop your skills. Team fit is also so important here, meaning you will need to bring a positive and motivated approach to work, and enjoy working in a collaborative and creative environment.

You will also need to have a GitHub or Bitbucket account to evidence your work, as this will be used as part of the interview process.
