Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D)
This niche market and well respected business in Norfolk is looking to expand its team within the Research and Development department, developing systems and equipment for the next generation of products.
This role will require experience in new product development, conceptual work, and designing equipment to operate in high shock and environmentally challenging environments to create systems to meet a specified standard.
This position will include structural design, material selection, integration of wiring looms and third-party electromechanical devices using AutoCAD inventor.
Experience in the use Vault and ERP systems is certainly preferable and a proficiency in the use of Finite Element Analysis software ANSYS for structural design is highly desirable.
You will have a general willingness to expand your knowledge into new areas, take a Systems approach to problem solving and also be capable and willing to perform hands-on tasks as required including integration activities on prototype equipment.
You will be proficient in English and capable of creating drawings and design records as required, have experience of working with others within an Engineering setting.
Qualifications: Qualified to Degree level (minimum 2:1), or HNC/D with extensive demonstrable industry experience
