With further expansion plans within and beyond the UK, the organisation would like to make its first tax appointment, at the level of Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated tax professional seeking the transition from a chartered accountancy firm or another industry organisation who wishes to make an impact on a developing and dynamic business. Due to present circumstances, this role will initially be completed remotely. The business has a good flexible working policy and a hybrid model will be available following a return to normality. Individuals seeking part-time hours may be considered.
Your new role
As the Tax Manager, you will report into the Head of Accounting and be responsible for all tax activities of the business. This will cover tax compliance, reporting, risk management and planning. For instance, you will develop and maintain an effective tax strategy and offer tax advice and recommendations during business change, such as mergers and acquisitions, investments and restructuring. In order to do this, you will liaise with various individuals within the Finance Team and other areas of the business.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful applicant, you will have a proven track record of delivering corporate tax compliance and planning, either in an in-house or consultancy capacity. This will be supported by a relevant qualification, such as CA, ACA or CTA. You will have excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills, and pride yourself on your analytical and teamwork abilities.
