Service Manager required to cover the Midlands for a leading nationwide air conditioning company that has 6 regional offices and been expanding since it formed in 2001. Our client offers their customers a complete turnkey solution for the installation, service, maintenance, fault finding and repair on a range of air conditioning solutions. Their expanding client base consists of long standing client relationships with factories such as Tate & Lyle and Proctor & Gamble as well as hotel chains including Hilton, Thistle and Marriott. Some of their more recent contracts include David Lloyd Leisure and American Apparel stores.

The Service Manager will be in charge of the Birmingham area and should ideally be based within this area. The day to day responsibilities will be to efficiently manage the service and maintenance operations throughout your patch ensuring client satisfaction is achieved. In order to succeed the targets, set for the patch you will oversee and manage a team of 6-10 engineers driving service quality standards and productivity of the engineers. You must also ensure continuous improvements as well as maintaining and growing client relationships to ensure contract extensions and remedial works, the patch have a turnover of circa £1 million.

The role will be field based reporting into Head Office (Kent) and spending up to 1 day a week there.

It is expected that the Service Manager will have previously worked on the tools and able to demonstrate a high level of technical ability and confident leading technical conversations with clients discussing systems as well as service and maintenance works, schedules and remedial works.

Service Manager / Operations Manager Position Requirements

Proven Service Management experience
HVAC Technical background with more of a bias towards plumbing and heating.
Proven client facing / customer service experience
Leadership skills
Experience of service and maintenance contract framework and negotiations.
Based in or around the Birmingham area.

Service Manager / Operations Manager Positions Remuneration

Basic Salary £40K - £45K
Car Allowance (£375 per month)
