Job Details
Wellington College is one of the world's leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently looking for a highly professional, capable and caring NMC registered RGN to join our Health Centre team as Nurse Manager.
Our health centre is large and spacious, with a variety of clinical rooms, as well as facilities for pupils to be cared for in the day-room or one of seven bedrooms. A place of professionalism and positivity and a strong presence pastorally, we deliver progressive, evidence-based school healthcare 24 hours a day. Join us, and you could soon be playing a key role at the heart of our friendly team.
As Nurse Manager, we will rely on you to facilitate gold standard healthcare to all pupils at the College and deliver and evaluate school nursing interventions that are evidence based. You will also be responsible for the strategic development of the health centre in line with best practice and guidance from the ISI, OfSTED, MOSA and the BSA. In addition to managing a team of nurses and support staff, you will often liaise directly with the Deputy Head Pastoral on matters of pastoral care. Also, when it comes to supporting both individual and team professional training and development, again, we will count on you to deliver.
To succeed, you will need extensive post-registration experience gained in a clinically demanding setting that's seen you manage a nurse or multi-disciplinary team. Well-organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work alone without direction, you have a proven track record for meeting targets and deadlines too. What's more, you are flexible over working hours and able to adapt to the various IT systems used in College and the health centre. Enabling effective dialogue with colleagues, pupils, staff, visitors and parents alike comes naturally to you too, as does writing policies, guidance, reports, etc. using Word & PowerPoint.
Not only is this an excellent career development opportunity, it comes with a generous salary and benefits package too. So, if you're a dedicated team-player, who strives for excellence, leads by example and is confident working alongside colleagues in senior management, apply today.
Closing date: Friday 22 January 2021
