Management Accountant
Fulltime - Monday - Friday
Competitive SalaryRecruiting on behalf of our client, the required individual will be responsible for the conduct of the audit management accounting and accountancy fieldwork. Assisting in the provision of all professional services in connection with designated clients. Liaising with the client's accounting staff and ensuring that the work progresses in accordance with time/cost budgets. Ensuring the manager/partner is kept fully informed of the progress of the work Key Duties

Identify key areas/risks and review/prepare work programmes in accordance with the Firm's standard documentation and manuals.
Update permanent files and review tax/correspondence files.
Prepare/time/cost budgets.
Attend planning meeting with manager/partner.
Confirm assignment approach and agreement of work programmes.
Where appropriate liaise with client and agree timetable.
Supervise/carry out the fieldwork in accordance with the Firm's procedures.
Supervise/complete the fieldwork according to the pre-determined timetable.
Allocate, supervise, and review the work of assistants.
Where the fieldwork is not progressing in line with expected timetable, liaise with manager/partner.
Give such on the job training as is necessary to ensure that the assistants understand and complete the work allocated to them.
Supervise/carry out such accountancy work as agreed with the client.
Ensure that the financial statements show a true and fair view and comply with legal and accounting requirements.
Agree management letter points with the client.
Prepare/review management letter and agree the final draft with manager/client.
Review/complete the assignment, subject only to outstanding points, which require managers/partner attention.
Prepare/arrange production of financial statements.
Ensure relevant certificates and representations are prepared for signature.
When required, the completion of annual returns, minutes, dividend warrants etc, should be prepared.
Prepare staff evaluation form for conduct of own work together with budget to actual time reconciliation.
Prepare staff evaluation form for assistants.
Prepare/review computations and returns.
Submit computations/returns to manager for review.
Liaise with manager on any taxation planning points arising.Key Skills
