Job Details
My client is a flourishing Multi Academy Trust looking to secure the services of an experienced Academy Finance Director to join their organisation in a newly created role.
Charged with the strategic responsibility for all aspects of group finance and regulatory compliance at Trust level, you will also refine operational processes and procedures to ensure that the finance team deliver the best possible service to the Trust on a day-to-day basis. You will provide insight into commercial decision making and provide strong financial leadership and guidance. The role will focus on the long-term development and direction of the Trust, which could include potential school acquisitions or future collaborations with other Trusts.
As the new Trust Finance Director, it is essential that you come from an Academy or Multi Academy Trust senior finance role, showcasing significant senior financial management and strategic leadership experience. Alongside exceptional technical ability, you will be a strategic thinker with experience of building and empowering teams within a positive and collaborative culture, sustaining high performing teams that engage with all colleagues across the Trust. You will need diplomacy, openness and approachability, and a personable style of leadership and resource management, as well as the ability to converse with internal and external stakeholders with integrity.
Given that this is a new role, there is flexibility on the days and hours worked, with a preference that this could be a reduced hours role that might fit with other responsibilities/ work commitments.
Farrer Barnes Ltd does not discriminate on the grounds of age, race, gender, disability, creed or sexual orientation and complies with all relevant UK legislation. Farrer Barnes Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
