ABC Teachers are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants on behalf of an excellent school for pupils with a range of special educational needs in Leicester.
We are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant who is dedicated to supporting pupils and holds strong behavioural management skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build a rapport with students and staff and be able to understand students' individual needs.
This school supports pupils between the ages of 11 and 19, who have a variety of special educational needs.
You will be working with pupils in small groups and on a 2:1 basis, with a qualified teacher.
The role can be on a flexible basis, depending if you are looking for full or part time work.
The special educational needs this school supports include developmental delay, ADHD, autism, and mental health needs.
The school is supported by a range of services within the Children and Young Peoples Services Department.
Full training and support will be provided by the school, with a teamwork ethos and friendly staff.
To be considered for this position, you will:
Have previous experience working with children and young individuals with Special Education Needs and Disabilities, which can be referenced
Suitable qualifications are desirable, such as Learning Support, Health and Social Care and Young Peoples Workforce
Have strong communication skills, this will enable you to quickly build a positive rapport with students
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check
