Job Details

Scrum Master (Agile Coach)

* c£40,000 per year

* 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension. Healthcare, up to 10% bonus, etc.

* Remote-working initially, post-Covid19 this role will be a maximum of 2 days a week in the office in Exeter, Devon

Skills and Experience:

* 3 years working as a Scrum Master in a commercial environment

* Previous experience of growing teams in early stages of agile development

* Strong team building and relationship building skills

* A Scrum Master qualification - Scrum Alliance or Scrum-org

* Experience of helping a business or large department move towards agile ways of working, and the challenges that brings

* Working experience of coaching, mentoring and teaching cross-functional delivery teams using plan-do-check-act and iterative and incremental improvements

* Desirable - experience of working with product, feature and component teams

* Desirable - driving change and improvement into Product Management and Product

* Good communication skills written and verbal

* Facilitate Scrum events ensuring the skill sets within the team have all they require to deliver

* Provide knowledge and experience with regards to agile principles and behaviours that support product development

* Have excellent communication skills with various levels within the organisation and at team level

* Champion the Scrum Framework, values and Agile Manifesto to help everyone understand the why

* Knowledge of Microsoft office, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), SharePoint, Teams, Retro tool or similar

The Opportunity:

My client are working within the telecoms sector and are currently looking for several Scrum Masters to join their business. The Scrum Masters will report directly to the CIO and take care of 2 Scrum Teams which make up the larger Development Team. The Developers, Test Lead and Technical Lead also report directly to the CIO. You will work very closely with the Technical Lead to ensure quality within the development lifecycle. The team will be working on projects, products and continuous improvement initiatives. As a Scrum Master you will act as a servant leader to the Delivery Team and provide facilitation of events, story mapping and design sessions. You will do this through enabling methods and strong leadership skills. You will be relentless in your pursuit of continuous improvement, facilitating conversations and helping the team to collaborate around finding better ways of working.
