We're currently working with a secondary school based in Bradford who is actively looking for a Behaviour Support Worker.
This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring students are kept on task, learning to their full potential and have a point of contact for any issues or concerns. The pupils have a range of needs, requiring the candidate to have patience and the ability to think on your feet to provide them with the support they need. This is a short term position, with a view to extend for the right person.

Safeguarding children at all times
Following the positive behaviour plans for each individual child
To support class teacher to maintain a positive working environment
Developing a clear understanding of the specific needs of the pupils you are working with
To recognising signs of distress in children, offering reassurance and de-escalating the situation
Planning and preparation around the classroom is essential
Keeping the pupils engaged with their learning
Building a strong relationship with the staff and parents
Promoting independence with the children
A passion and commitment to working with vulnerable children
Knowledge of safeguarding
Previous experience working with children/ young adults who have SEN
DBS on the update service (we can also do a DBS if necessary)
