Sports Instructor needed for school in Barnsley - January start - Temporary initially

Your new role
You will be taking the lead role in introducing students to a variety of sport and fitness activities across the different schools sites, in a safe and enjoyable manner. These activities will take place in school, afterschool and sometimes at weekends. Your students will range in age from 5-16 and all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. In addition, a number of these pupils have EHCP's and secondary needs relating to communication, cognition and sensory/physical needs.
Your aim will be to plan and deliver learning that helps students gain and continue with a healthy lifestyle, whilst developing personal skills like resilience and team work. You will also need to monitor pupil progress and complete accurate records, demonstrating that performance indicators are met.
You will manage a team of support staff who you will develop to help support lessons and activities. These staff members will also contribute towards promotion of opportunities for students such as activity related qualifications.
This job is to start in January on a temporary basis, with a view to becoming permanent.
What you'll need to succeed
GCSE English/Maths grade A-C or equivalent
Appropriate technical qualifications in relevant areas
A valid, enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)
Experience working with children and young adults with SEMH and/or other disabilities
