The Digital Marketing Officer is a key role in INPD. We are seeking a self-starter, who is motivated to reach their potential and deliver excellent results. This is an important role and your success will result in increased lead generation, increased brand awareness and enhancement of the company's reputation as a leading training provider. Reporting to the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for putting together creative campaigns, initiatives and content to engage with customers through both online and offline channels.

Day-to-day tasks
  • Work with line manager to develop and implement the social media schedule for core social platforms, ensuring alignment with marketing strategy and event schedule
  • Write copy and develop creative assets for use on social media
  • Be responsible for brand reputation across all core social platforms, ensuring compliance with brand guideline and company policies
  • Build social following across all core channels
  • Increase impressions, engagements and clicks across all core channels
  • Drive traffic and online bookings to the website from social channels
  • Lead on developing the website content schedule, working with line manager and chosen partners to ensure website resources are updated regularly
  • Format and publish content on the website CMS in line with SEO best practice
  • Support with any CMS updates as required
  • Lead on affiliate marketing activity, identifying relevant affiliates and building lasting relationships to leverage opportunities to market the brand to a wider network
  • Establish and develop relationships with relevant press contacts and affiliates to leverage media coverage
  • Identify and present relevant advertising opportunities
  • Support with email marketing and data management requests when required
  • Support with PPC management and campaign optimisation as required
  • Report on key metrics and ROI across all core marketing channels
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Become an ambassador for GDPR, supporting your line manager with company-wide adoption of best practice and compliance

The Person and key skills
  • Target driven: you will work to targets that support the revenue growth and success of the business; namely lead generation targets and individual marketing channel performance metrics
  • Content writing: you will be experienced in writing and optimising copy across the digital marketing channel spectrum
  • Email marketing: you will be comfortable and experienced with email marketing platforms, with a detailed understanding of how best to maximise results from data management and email campaigns
  • Paid search: you will be experienced with both Google Ads and Bing Ads platforms; demonstrating your ability to manage campaigns to deliver optimum ROI
  • Paid social: you will be comfortable with devising and implementing promoted social media campaigns across all core channels, building custom audiences and targeted campaign creatives to deliver results
  • CMS: you will be comfortable creating, uploading and managing content for the company's website via the CMS
  • Analytical: you will have an eye for detail and be able to collate, analyse an interpret data to inform our digital marketing strategies
  • Creativity: you will be creative in your approach, constantly seeking and testing new methods of reaching our target audience and increasing our lead generation
  • Project management: You will be well organised and disciplined with the ability to multitask. You will be comfortable handling time-sensitive projects and working to tight deadlines
  • Communication: you will have excellent communication skills, ensuring the flow of information across the team, and the wider organisation


An undergraduate degree in marketing (or a professional marketing qualification) and/or Membership of a relevant body (i.e. CMI) is an advantage.

Relevant experience
  • A minimum of three years' experience in digital marketing, working across the full marketing mix
  • Experience of data segmentation and audience profiling, and targeting campaigns accordingly
  • Experience of collating, analysing and interpreting data to drive digital marketing activity and increase lead generation
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, commercial and target driven environment
  • Adaptable and quick learner of new online and digital marketing tools

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £22,000 - £25,000.00 per year
