Situated on the outskirts of Preston, this is a well-established, long-standing business who are looking to add to their excellent finance team by recruiting a highly experienced Payroller Sitting in the wider finance team and reporting into the Financial Controller, this is an excellent chance for a junior Payroller to step into a more senior and challenging role or for an experienced Payroller to join a business within which they can enjoy a long, fulfilling career.
Your New Job
Your duties as Payroller will be to take responsibility for processing the payroll for monthly and weekly paid staff. Managing the full process end-to-end, you will process payroll independently calculating statutory payments and holiday entitlements, ensuring that all employee records are managed and maintained efficiently. This payroll position is for 25 hours per week on a permanent basis, so if you are looking for part-time hours the role will be purely covering the payroll duties. If you are looking for full-time hours, the role will have additional duties supporting the wider finance function. This could include purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, petty cash management and weekly/monthly reports. You will be able to liaise internally with colleagues and senior staff alike and have the communication skills to handle queries on an ad-hoc basis. You will have excellent IT skills and a high level of attention to detail.
