Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Candidates will need to demonstrate experience with;
  • Stakeholder management and technical team interaction (internal, external and 3rd party)
  • Requirements gathering (Data, BI and user driven), writing and identification through discussion with technical stakeholders
  • Understand how to implement solutions for data profiling, master data management, data reconciliation, data lineage
  • ETL design and build, implementation, integration and delivery
  • Understand and disseminate the persistence technology landscape and assist setting the direction for best-of-breed MS/Cloud based Data and MI solutions
  • Creation and review of technical documentation, designs and implemented solutions alike, from solution assurance down to hands-on implementation

NOTE: as is common with this type of role, some remote location and occasional out-of-hours working will be required to support customer interests.
Skills
Candidates are expected to have all of the following skills;
  • Azure Data Factory or other cloud-based ETL tools
  • Strong T-SQL experience
  • SSIS or similar data orchestration frameworks
  • Hands on PowerBI experience
  • Good all-round technical infrastructure appreciation
  • Experience of using ER, UML or similar industry-notation to document database schemas, ETL flows or HL Logical Architectures
  • Source control appreciation, esp. GIT
  • Appreciation of information security standards such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS or Cyber Essentials
  • Excellent MS SQL 2008+, inc. upgrades and SSAS, SSRS, SSIS
