Portfolio Analyst - RAID - London

My financial services client who are the market leader in their field are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to assist in the next steps in replacing Legacy systems and delivering efficiency, innovation and future business agility. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to be part of an IT team that is at the forefront of driving IT implementations across a range of technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Coordinating and supporting in all aspects of the day-to day running of the of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO)

* Providing business support including; arranging internal and external meetings, facilitating virtual meetings using various online platforms

* Preparing meeting packs for project and programme steering committees and taking accurate and concise minutes Ensuring the agreed project methods, standards and governance controls are maintained

* Supporting with the development, implementation and maintenance of various reporting/tracking methods including milestone planning, Finance, RAID, contingency and project/programme reporting

* Maintaining & optimising the agreed PMO toolset to support effective delivery

* Manning the team mailbox, prioritising e-mails and actioning requests in line with SLA's

* Tracking actual expenditure against project/programme budgets and working with project/programme managers to capture actual costs and reforecast monthly

Experience Required:

* Understanding of Portfolio Management Programme/Project deliveries using your strong experience of AGILE and/or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects

* Experience working in a multi layered Portfolio environment (Programme, Project & Product)

* Strong analytical skills including experience of turning data into insights

* Project management using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects

* Understanding of programmes within a large and complex IT environment

* Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project

* Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations

* Facilitating large workshops/meetings

* Presenting to senior stakeholders

* Working in a Matrix management environment Reviewing and improving PMO best practices Senior stakeholder management
