Redline have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contract Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer with our client based in Essex. Our client, a world leader in their industry, have recently moved into a brand new manufacturing facility.
They now need an experienced Contract Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer to help them reduce waste whilst increasing productivity. This role has two elements to it. You will initially conduct a review of the flow of material through the factory looking at transfer times and make recommendations that will reduce the time of transfer and increase efficiency. Secondly you will be required to assess each manufacturing cell to reduce waste and scrap and increase productivity.
In order to be successful in this role you will need extensive experience in lean manufacturing techniques, six sigma and 5s combined with a demonstrable record of cost saving and improvements. It is likely that you will have a minimum of a greenbelt certificate and have a solid background in manufacturing, ideally mechanical. This role requires excellent communication skills both verbal and written and reports directly to the Operations Director.
