Water is life! As a Water Network Technician Apprentice, you'll learn everything there is to know about our water network activities. You'll be learning the complexities of engineering to confidently operate the system that ultimately delivers a vital resource to our customers.
You earn while you learn on this bespoke 18-24 month scheme, learning through a mixture of classroom study and on the job training. Throughout the majority of your first year you'll spend one week in four at a specialist training facility located in Peterborough. Here, you'll meet a group of like-minded apprentices and build your knowledge of Water Networks.
When not attending training you'll spend most of your time with a mentor, on the job learning and will become part of the team based around Market Rasen, Louth and Lincoln
Day to day, you'll be able to get stuck into activities like:
- Planned and reactive activities in relation to the water network operation
- Reacting to customer needs
- Planned preventative maintenance on the water network
- Leakage detection
- Water regulations
- Water quality
As a Water Network Technician Apprentice, you'll be part of a critical team who act as our front-line ambassadors for our customers, ensuring we can deliver safe, clean water to homes and businesses across the region.

In terms of qualifications, you'll need 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade A*-C or 9-4, including Maths and English. However, beyond your qualifications you'll also possess:
- An enthusiastic nature
- A willingness to learn
- A passion for hands on work
- A commitment to gaining your qualification through a combination of study based and, on the job learning
- Team spirit
- An appreciation of compliance to Health & Safety
