This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solutions Architect -Azure/Dev to joing an organisation that is experiencing huge growth.

Key Skills and Competencies:

The Solutions Architect will be expected to have a very broad knowledge across a wide range of IT technology, including operating systems, security, server hardware, virtualisation technology, cloud delivery platforms, management platforms, storage technologies, networks WAN and LAN, load balancing, clustering and data centre infrastructure. Specifically, you will be expected to demonstrate;
  • Both a broad and 'technical management' understanding of technology, applications and IT issues, standards and processes.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Cloud Platform including, services, security and capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work in collaborative projects and demonstrate the ability to undertake a technical leadership role.
  • Understanding of Information Security aligned to ISO27001
  • Ability to support the sales team, providing tender information to a high degree of business acumen.
  • The ability to articulate technical solutions to senior business stakeholders.
  • Customer Facing Solutions Design Experience. Authoring high and low level designs across a broad range of technologies.
  • Effective design and proposal documentation skills.
  • Experience of a broad range of technologies, including: -
  • Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS, hybrid cloud solutions
  • C# .Net/.Net Core
  • Azure App Service
  • Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Modern web development exposure (React.js and Angular.js)

  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD
  • ARM templates

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of working with board level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent.
  • Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organisational benefit.
  • Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
  • At least five years in a customer facing role, delivering and supporting technology solutions based on Microsoft technologies.

Main Duties:
  • Involvement in initial customer engagements to articulate the organisations capabilities and help shape customer technical strategy and requirements.
  • Own the full technical solution required to meet a customer's specification, liaising proactively with colleagues and external partners, as necessary, to deliver technically elegant, feasible and commercially viable solutions.
  • Construction of a detailed cost model to support the implementation and ongoing delivery of the solution.
  • Own and manage any risks associated with solution development and implementation.
  • Undertake, where required, authorship and/or review of technical elements of proposal documentation
  • Take the technical lead in the presentation of technical and commercial solutions to a customer, in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Provide technical support in contract negotiations and development.
  • Ensure effective handover of technical solution to delivery teams, in conjunction with the Programme Managers.
  • Contribute to the development of technical solutions and capabilities, keeping abreast of industry developments and proposing innovation.
  • Quality Assurance of Technical Solutions proposed and /or implemented by Technical Architects, where required.
  • To be eligible to obtain full UK (SC) Security Clearance
