Infrastructure Architect

• Technical direction for allocated squads
• Maintain Technical Roadmaps
• Exploration of new technologies
• Ensuring alignment with guard rails and technology standards
• Ensuring effective CI/CD pipelines and DevOps approaches
• Play an active part in the R&D IT design Guild
• Agreeing guard rails and technology standards
• Advocating agile practices
• Exemplifying a culture of experimentation and learning
• Develops strong partnerships with R&D scientists in order to have full transparency and joint ownership of the technology strategy and progress towards it
• Ensure effective communications with R&D and the wider organisation to explain the R&D IT mission, highlight successes and ensure IT services are well known and understood by the business
• Proposes portfolio backlog items that will drive increased business value through technology changes

Profile

Infrastructure Architect

• A proven background and experience in designing complex bespoke business solutions
• Experience in working in agile teams
• Experience in designing for cloud, ideally AWS
• Experience in with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices - Jenkins etc
• Strong technical skills and background in building in-house solutions
• Server build/migration/configurations
• Must be a tech lead within an organisation
• Understanding of DevOps
• AWS core infrastructure
• Office 365 and MS Exchange

Job Offer

Infrastructure Architect

• £65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + benefits
• 31 days Holiday
• Candidate must have experience in hands on Infrastructure, technical lead etc.
